Marathi Recipe Ghavan
Ghavane is really popular in Kokan. It is basically a rice pancake somewhat like neer Dosa. But it taste totally different from neer Dosa. It is quick break fast recipe.
Ingredients -
- 1 Cup rice flour.
- Salt to taste.
- Water.
- Oil.
Methods -
- In a mixing bowl, take rice flour, Add salt and mix well.
- Add water, stir well , No lumps should be formed .
- Add little water for a time and mix well, it should be thin and not too thick.
- Heat pan on medium heat.
- When a pan is enough hot, add oil. Spread the oil all over the pan.
- Mix the rice batter well , while preparing ghavan put the batter on the side of the pan first and after come to the center.
- Covers and cook for a minute, Remove the lid and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
- Flip over and cook for 2-3 min.
- Take it off the pan and serve hot Ghavan.
- Ghavan go well with mushroom sabzi or chicken.
- Can be Served with peanut or green chutney too.
